Why always me?

Lieutenant Mitaka was sitting at the table in his sparsely furnished quarters. He did not seem happy. To be honest, it had been a long time since he had been a happy man.

When asked if he would join the First Order, he wanted to remain loyal to the remnants of the Empire, the Empire that brought order and peace to the galaxy. Then the Rebellion came, bringing chaos and war. He snorted. These terrorists defeated the Empire and now called themselves the New Republic.
Dopheld Mitaka graduated top of the academy and was assigned to the First Order Star Destroyer Finalizer under General Hux's command. It was a pleasant assignment. Pleasant until the day a large, masked man walked onto the bridge.
Kylo Ren, the man who would become his nemesis.

General Hux assigned him to the Master of the Knights of Ren as an orderly. That was no easy task. His new superior tended to throw a tantrum when things did not go according to plan. And he, Lieutenant Mitaka, was the one to deliver the bad news.
Several times he witnessed Ren activating his lightsaber and destroying objects and walls within his reach.
And now he had to deliver bad news again.
The First Order had failed to capture a droid on Jakku who was carrying a map that Ren wanted. Mitaka sighed because there was no way to avoid a meeting with Ren again. He slowly stood up and grabbed his cap and left his quarters.
Mitaka walked as if he was carrying the whole galaxy on his shoulders. Finally, he reached the room Ren was in.
“Why always me?” He asked himself in his mind before entering.
